He said to me "the hood covers your blindspot and thats usually were we are"
*thinks* "You sit in people's blind spots?" I then told him i always look over my shoulder when changing lanes. but yes massive helmets that could harvest a turret gun down each side with the amount they stick out

Yep, this whole post certainly is cause for concern about the direction the Police are taking with modified and sometimes standard cars.
When you realise that Australia is the ONLY country in the world where a Police Officer can defect a brand new and perfectly good vehicle straight off the showroom floor for no other reason than that he doesn't believe a certain part of it complies, is it any wonder we have the problems that we do? I remember being pulled over by a couple of u/c's in a 1991 Ford Corsair (of all cars) and getting given a canary because I had red spark plug leads and my radiator 'looked' too big........I'm not joking! Both were absolutely stock standard and still had the Nissan part no. written on them for all to see (Ford Corsair was a rebadged Nissan Pintara in the early 90's) The Officer at the pits also couldn't believe it but I was the one that still had to fork out the $43 or what ever it was back then. I did get smarter though and now I roll with all of the required permits neatly organised in the glovebox tucked inside the cover of the latest Road Traffic Act and Regulations book that I acquired from the government press office for $29.95 (I think?). Should see the look on their faces now when I open the glovebox, hand it to them and tell them the permits are inside if they would like to have a look! Haven't had a problem since. A worth while investement and very informative as well. |

If they put the sticker that way mate, it normally means that they are ordering it off the road. You would do something like that for a car with no headlights and driving at night or something. Otherwise it still goes sideways but still in the corner.
Have a winge to the OIC at Mirrabooka Traffic (Westminster traffic lol). They will prolly get an ass chewing but that's all. Looking at the rego numbers, they have only been in the job about 2 years or so.
