Same as doing 178kmh on the freeway or 107kmh in a 60 zone....nothing major.

Good work, couple of us here followed a suspected drunk driver last week down Canning Hwy before he plowed through a fence and destroyed his car. Karma.

Doing and condoning are two different things.

Saying 0.089 is nothing major is the wrong attitude to have after being fined.

The amount of times I've seen some tugger in his little sports car doing well over the speed limit.. in my eyes thats no different than driving drunk. It's just as dangerous. So if you can put your hand up and honestly say you've never deliberately exceeded the speed limit, or never raced someone on a public road, never had 'one too many' etc then feel free to judge him, but if not then save your sanctimony for Sunday.

agree with Kato, im sure most of us broke the law in one way or another, i never do DD, max i was cought speeding was 110 in a 90 zone...it's not the fact that he's done it, saying it's nothing 'major' is the problem.

imagine someone posting a thread 'i did 178km\h in 100 zone' nothing too serious...wrong attitude

I can honestly say I have never driven Drunk, I dont drink anymore So I never will..

I have sped yes.

However When you are drunk you are not in control its that simple. .089 is pissed its that simple.

At least when you are sober you still have judgment. 78% over the limit is plain fucked, Drink Driving is fucked. As far as I am concerned it should be a .0000 limit and similar rules to the hoon laws.

I blew .049 once after 3 bourbans spaced out over 1.5hrs and the last drink was has about 30 minutes previous. Certainly opened up my eyes as to how easy it is to blow over, the policeman asked me how lucky I was feeling. Didn't feel so good afterwards realising just how close I was to going to court and losing my licence

completely agree Fozzy, I have absolutley no tolerance to DD! Interestingly since i moved here, ive found that there is a culture in some of the older people i work with, that its okay to have more than a couple and drive home "cos the car knows the way home".

I find this appauling behaviour and needless to say they all have been done at the booze bus.
