And yes it is costing me to much to live here, I've already been planning my move for a while, I've found an area I want to move to and the next time we fly over I'm checking out houses. I'd say realistically it'll take me maybe 2 years to get everything sorted and get over there, I'm hoping not long after our wedding. The Mrs is starting to agree with me aswell FINALLY |

Booked myself into the Shafston Mansions today for 2 weeks short term, $350 a week with everything so will be good while I settle in, Uni accommodation in Kangaroo Point so hopefully it is alright. If I stay on long term is quite a bit cheaper so see if I like it.
Hopefully Swedish Uni chicks make their way into my room and love me.

Clothes are NOT cheaper. The harbour town there is awful[first year it was fantastic], you have to drive a long, long way to get some cheap slave labor clothing[like you do in perth] Yep.. you're right on the "let's get hammered and bash each other " thing too.. I was walking through brisbane and it was heavenly... two priests discussing eutopia, a homeless guy jumping into his brand new bmw that was kindly donated by one of the moguls from my monopoly set. Get out and see the world first.. come up with an objective opinion and you'll see how good perth is... muppet. |

Watch out for some of the outter suburbs in brisbane[if you choose to live there].. it's not as comfortable as the balajuras etc here. Lot of very interesting stuff goes on in the day and night. If you're looking to buy on the other hand, can offer advice later on in regards to growth areas, specific stats, infrastructure, future developments etc. Good luck mate... it's a terrific place.. but yeh, visit it first and figure out where's best for you to live. |

And if your comparing Perths harbour town to DFO near the brisbane airport you are crazy. It extremely cheaper, I got a set of new everlast runners for half the price I could get them in Perth on SALE. Its funny that you say to see the world to get an opinion, I have travelled ALOT around the world which is what has given me my views. I travel to Brisbane alot because my family moved there aswell so I have an even better idea because I've been past the first "outer layer" you see of places on a brief holiday. Haha Muppet, righto buddy, seems like your the one living in a fantasy land, I'd love to visit the Perth you talk about. Perth is a great place to retire and thats the way some people like it, however I don't. Not to mention the local government is trying to remove happy hours/shots/glasses/etc. |

Most expensive Pubs in Perth are the Raffles and The Breakwater, a pint of Becs is $10.50, yeh pretty steep but the most you will pay for a Corona is $7/8. If you don't like it then don't go there are heaps of other pubs in Perth, was at the Whale and Ale a few days ago and was paying $6.90 for a pint.
As for the fights in Brisbane, you are kidding me right? I have seen some massive fights in Brisbane. I was a teenager when I lived there (16 or so years ago) and every teenager would have been carrying a knife. Over here noway near as many kids would. I lived in Algester mate have a look there or SunnyBank Hills, not to sure how close they are to Indroopilly but they are nice suburbs.
