Because that would be extremely poor form. That would then mean the Australian feds failed to do their job properly as they knowingly allowed a drug trafficer to pass through someone elses territory. That's the kind of shit that starts big international problems.

Shhh.. hush now, it'll be ok sparky.

The penalty clearly works. How it is dished out is important.

Just my opinion. I think being caged is more punishment than a quick end.
Having 1 guy hang will deter the next 50 guys from doing the same. Whereas 10 years in jail out in 3, will deter the next 5 guys maybe. It's not only about punishing the same guy, it's about everyone single potential mules out there.

I won't try to give an expert opinion on this, seeing as I'm not one, but I'm pretty sure enough statisticians would have done the math in calculating how effective capital punishment is as a deterrent.

I'd say "hard" drugs start on the next rung above E's. Heroin is probably the worst but i havent had much to do with it!

That said i'm currently watching two close mates battle with addictions to alcohol and weed. The stoner has now ended up in Bently Hospital (and Reece can tell you this probably isnt a nice place ) with MASSIVE MASSIVE problems. Sadly i dont even know him now

No objection to the death sentencing here. If you do drugs and aid in trafficking them, to me you are the lowest of lows.
Even so, i still think hanging in a bit brutal for this day and age.

I don't agree with capital punishment.
Been plenty of innocent people who have been killed over the last couple of hundred years... (obviously this guy isnt innocent...)

Legalise all drugs worldwide is my motto, governent run drug labs, profit goes to education and rehabiliation... people choose to take whatever 'pure' drugs they like.. and live with the consequences... just like every legal drug... a certain % will be abusers.

Who the fuck does the governments worldwide think they are telling me what I can and can't do with my body... go and get fucked.

I have no problem with people being punished under current laws... but taking someones life is the only exception... and to all the haters who say... 'he knew what the crime was....' put yourself in his shoes for a moment.... get rid of all the bullshit.. and just imagine really sitting on death row.. walking to the gallows... getting a noose around your neck... and imagine hearing the clang... is that justice?

Its cold blooded murder....

On the other end of the spectrum.... I don't have a problem with say a father killing his daughters rapist... as a reaction/revenge attack... thats pure emotion.. and not a calculated lengthy... cold blooded killing. Its done from pure rage and emotion...and insticts.... if that makes sense.... :/

I won't bother posting again until the average IQ around here increases. ....

"Now, as for Texas letting people off, that's down to sloppy police work. Not a whole heap of point saying the death penalty doesn't work because a bunch of cops couldn't do their fucking job. That means the judicial and police process is screwed up, not the penalty."

For those with an IQ that allows them to walk AND talk; the problem with Cabbages argument is that a penalty is ALSO broken if it is applied to the wrong people. All evil cabbage managed to point out is that the Death penalty does work at being a penalty because people generally dont like dying. DERRRRRRRRRR! (cabbage is doing well for a vegetable though)

If you can't create life, who gave you the right to end it?
