Saturation: Half the cars on this forum would be unregoed for having atmospheric bov's, straight through exhausts, screamer pipes, unsecured pods, no 3rd brake lights, too low....list goes on. If we ran a yearly inspections im pretty sure more then half the forum would be up in arms. Quote:

what is annoying is im fairly sure the majority of us do not have bald tyres, no headlights, no brake lights, bits falling off, cracked windscreens windscreen wipers that dont work and the like.
these are things that will increase the likelyhood of crashes and having cars like these on the road increases danger for everyone else. but does my screamer, or my straight through pipes or my pod affect the safety of my vehicle? no it doesnt...its just a little more noisy i can guarantee we all spend more money on looking after our cars than joe citizen yet we are the ones who seem to be getting slapped with the stickers and general bad attention. i know its not as black and white as this and the fact is, we all knew this before we signed our papers and became wrx/performance car owners....it still doesnt change how much all the above experiences etc suck. and there isnt much we can do about it, except buy daewoos!

Not really Phil, especially since Matt Butcher, i have had alot more respect for the plod. If half the people that complain went to Armadale cop shop and did a night shift for 2 weeks i think they'd have a different outlook at what the police have to deal with instead of calling them all "fkn idiots".
Dont you have pictures to post up you lazy git!? Quote:
As for your second point, god damn how you are right. I dont get why we spend more cash making ours handle better, stop better and generally safer and still get hounded however, look at the people that are caught doing rediculous speeds, wrapping cars around poles street racing. Its no wonder we get the general bad attention mate.

The old chestnuts:
full ashtray = a fire hazard = yellow licky Too low (stock ex-pursuit 5 litre vl - factory BT1 police suspension) = yellow licky Tyres too wide (stock ex-pursuit 5 litre VL- stock police rims & tyres) = sticker Too many clicks on the handbrake before the brakes lock (8 clicks) = sticker Hmm....Never been hassled for 'hooning' / burnouts / pissy / wreckless but have been to the pits many many times........ not that they look for excuses to send you there.....lol!
