Yeah it would be hard. Don't worry to much though as i don't think it would pass. I would love to see it go through but somehow i can't see it happening.

Fuck, i'll take the work.. I'd love to be able to work from 6-9 most nights, get some extra $$, but I can't find a flipping job that will allow it. Everyone wants me to work during the day, when I'm busy with my full time career.

For the people that already are employed, it seems silly to want to work sundays, but most of us forget that there is always someone willing to work. At any time, any day. I've only been here for a few years, but I find it ridiculous not having late night or sunday trading. Some of us only have these times to do things, and it's a royal pain in the ass not being able to.

Wait Awhile will never go ahead with it.

The majority of the population couldn't give a stuff if the shops were open late or on weekends.

The problem is, the small majority that do want extended trading are the ones filling up the shopping centres when they open late on Thursdays, when they have their occasional Sunday openings and otherwise filling up the IGA's.

I can't see why we can't have 'hubs' places like Perth, Freo etc (even Garden City and Karrinyup) can't open till say 8pm every night, then if you want something, you just have to go for a drive. That would be an easy way to test if people really do want the shops open.

I work during the week, hence, cant shop then. Can shop after work if open, can shop on weekends.

So, for me, I'd prefer things to be open Sundays, weeknights doesnt bother me really. You can still get all the things you need if you have too.

We should have a free market determining when shops open for trade. If there is a demand for their product or service at 3am on a wednesday morning, leave the decision up to the retailer whether or not they wish to be open.

The arguments agains Extended and Sunday trading are for the most ignorant, ill informed or just plain selfish. If you don't want to shop on a sunday afternoon, nobody is forcing you to do so.

I find it amazing in this state how I can buy McShit at 4 in the morning but I can't find a supermarket open to buy the makings of a healthy meal at a reasonable price.

Why can you test drive a new commodore at 8pm on a wednesday night but you can't go get your kid new school shoes?

I'm all for deregulation!
Why should we have to pay two times the price for food at some deli?
Many argue that these businesses will be forced to shut down... I say good! Inefficient and overpriced = GTFO!
