Will do, but has been covered by most of the guys above so far.

Have been told early deliveries to start around June this year, not taking orders yet as they havent been allocated a rhd build time at factory yet atleast for Oz.

In regards to local tuners, there is Quattro motors who do all APR work - and Golfwagen who can source Milltek stuff.

So not spoilt for choice as with Subaru and Evo shops, but not rare either, will only get better with time.

Is Aus getting the Scirocco? In my opinion its much better looking than the Golf and I believe there is a hot version available.

As an alternative....BMW 130 if you want a hatch or 135i for a sedan.

Does the car have to be brand new? $60K can get a huge amount of used car these days.

VW Australia has no plans on bringing in the Scirocco at this stage which is a shame, but i guess they think there is no point with the new golf recently arrived and the R on it's way.

Scirocco R would be interesting, but as has been said they would struggle to position it in the market for it to be competitive enough.

The Scirocco will more than likely not come to Aus as it will take away alot of the Golf sales according to the rumor mill known as the interwebs.

From what I have read the BMW 130 or 135i is a bit over priced you can get a much better car for a lot less.

Yeah BMW options lists are lengthy and expensive and the base cars tend to come with few options...used ones are a bit of a bargain though if the first owner chucked the options book at it.

Will $60k get you in something from Audi with an RS badge on it?

Real shame about the Scirocco not coming, its far better looking than the Golf in my opinion.
