i doubt it will be this year, looking more like early next year.
I just bought a brand new territory, im not taking it bush so the RWD version is perfect for us. with 2 kids seats on the second row the middle space is huge - very rare in most new cars today, i also got the seven seat option if friends come along. But the most important thing with terri's is only buy a MARK 2 cause the shit is about to hit the fan with earlier ones (early 2009 build to 2004!!!) this went to air a few hours ago in adelaide, story goes national friday http://www.youtube.com/v/ao4vIVSVFhg&hl=en_US&fs=1& Last edited by norwest_rumbler; 12-02-2010 at 01:06 AM. |

Shane everything you regret about buying a Jeep will be repeated if you buy a Rover.
Poor build quality, poor warranty, poor parts supply, reliability issues they are famous for. etc. There are two types of Rover owner. Ones that regret ever buying one and elbow patch wearing bearded weirdos that keep coming back for more punishment model after model. Why no Prado? They do everything right. That's why there are thousands sold every year and they hold value. Even the natives can't kill them. |

But as per above why no Prado? Eight seats would be good and built to last. |

Shane, listen to what Dougie says about the Rover...and ask Matt Langer about them!
I have a turbo diesel Pathfinder (6 speed manual) and it is excellent...adequate power (albeit a tad noisy), very good fuel economy, good offroad ability, not too big, not too small, rear seats and extra row seats lay flat for great cargo area (eg can carry 2 sailboards, sails, masts etc inside), reasonably priced and reasonably equipped (though mine is only the ST). Though saying that, for those larger/mid sized 4WD it's generally accepted that the Pajero is the one to get. New Forester is good too (Alli has one)...nice to drive and more space than previous models and reasonably priced...my only crticism would be that the NA could do with a bit more grunt, though the XT will fix that. Have fun shopping...

Because Prados are too expensive for what they are and the new ones are too big and too marshmellowy...new Pajero ftw every time...

Could it be one part batch? or owner abuse? |

Another one to add to the list is a ...
Kia Sorento Platinum No Seriously! They are great Diesel Auto, does something like 7l/100KM is capable being AWD The platinum has some really nice leather and a panoramic sunroof and top of the range platinum is only $54K +ORC from memory. I drove one and all I could say is: I can't believe it's a kia (or a hyundai for the smart asses ) EDIT: And they are a 7 seater (even though you would need to be an amputee midget to use it) however when the 3rd row is up you have NO boot what so ever. |

I'd hold off and wait for the forester diesel which is due out very soon. Do a you tube search, looks good!

if you want to take it off road.. then nothing beat RR. If you want a SUV that is going to live and breath in city then just choose any of these - VW Touareg, Q7 (used), X5 or brand new CX9
BTW VW are about to release new version of Touareg http://www.caradvice.com.au/56761/vo...s-new-touareg/ |
