Chasing protein powder
Fellas
I know there is a fair few fitness gurus on here, I would like to know if anyone can point me in the direction of some good quality low fat, low carb protein powder. At the moment I buy it in 4.5kg bags I think, but it is not lasting me the whole month so I am after a 5kg bag for around $120 - $150. I buy protein every month so if I can get a good deal locally it will be easier than buying over the net etc. Thanks |

220 pounds
100kg @ 1.5g/kg of body weight is 150 grams a day. For me that is 3 scoops of protein in water 3 times a day @ 68 grams of protein per serving which is 204 grams of protein daily via protein shakes. I might be wasting a little but I am happy with my results. |

Back off on the shakes and eat some real food as in meat.

I eat chicken 2 - 3 times a day, not too much red meat.
I am happy with my progress so why would I change what is working for me. |

Yeah i second that. I used to be on the high protein diet with shakes, creatine etc. After a month or so you get side-effects like no other. Your sweat smells 10X worse, pimples like the days back in high school, and the possibility of malfunctioning your liver (hence make sure you get a blood test testing your liver function).

you are having way to many shakes! start eating some proper meals...
if you have having 6-7 meals a day @ 30-40grams of protien each meal there should be no need for you to have a shake unless after a workout. reassess your diet. |
