Jez, can you get these devices?
Can I get which?? A poliscan? Sure if you want to part with 100k!!

**edit** oh you mean the Laser Pro Parks....no.....I've never sold them. They are an old design, based around the hardware of an Anti-Laser G7 (AL are up to G9 now). He's FOS because the LPP will NOT jam the Poliscan, and after today's testing, the LPP may not evern **alert** to the Poliscans.

Did some runs this arvo with PWRX member MY99. Unfortunately the results are inconclusive, as the coppers were stuffing around with the camera quite a lot, had the measuring tape out, rear camera module out then back in, camera was on then off, etc

What I can report was the V1 alerted to it from 200ish metres away, up to around 350m in different runs. I'll need to measure properly on Google Earth, but we took a heap of video too.

What was really bad was that many runs (with the V1 alerting) other radar detectors we tested were silent. I think in all the runs the Whistler Pro78SE only alerted once, at about 100m away.

I had two prototypes, one didn't alert at all, the other only alerted once.

What was also disappointing with the V1 was that we did not get any scatter coming back in the opposite direction (when we were not driving into the laser). Whether or not this camera was testing both lanes simultaneously we don't know. Didn't particularly want to get out and asl the 4-5 guys standing around the camera either

I'll get the videos up in the next few days

It's a shame that we couldn't get some conclusive results. I'm still convinced that the operators had some sort of problem as they were constantly walking between the two units and the car, tugging on cables to check that they were plugged in etc.

I'm glad that we managed to get a few good runs in with the V1 though.
Let's hope that 200m is the minimum alert that we get

Btw Jez: They were still messing around with the measuring tape when I was leaving at 3.

LOL!
I can't wait for someone to test their accuracy in court.
Did you guys see the news story on how a German court ruled them as inaccurate! Maybe Sean should have leaked THAT story to the Media.

Hahaha that'll be interesting! I didn't see that article. Where the Poliscans way off like some of the cameras over east?

As for the jammer article: this Sean guy sounds like an absolute knob.

It's almost surprising how little the West know - Tuna is right, they don't even care whether what they publish is factually correct.

In reagrds to laser jammers does anyone know if there is actually one (specifically) which is effective against the vitronic poliscan multinovas which are going to be or have been introduced already?

I have done some research and according to various sites the 'laser star' jammer is the most effective against a variety of laser devices as can be seen on this website

http://www.laserjammertests.com/

however there is nothing about them being effective against poliscan.

The antilaser G9 is the only one which i could find that states it is effective against poliscans as can be seen in the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1WCbwTYWXM

and on their official website

http://www.antilaser.info/tests/

Has anyone owned or used either of these? and can comment on their effectiveness?

Ok so I have read some more and have stumbled across some threads that laser star is less than reliable so that rules that one out.

**edit**

I can now confirm with certainty (people liiiike certainty) that the Laser Pro Park does NOT jam the Poliscan, because [the Poliscan] is a VPR (variable pulse rate) lidar unit. It may detect it briefly as Jenoptik but that is not effective at JAMMING.

Being VPR explains a lot of things last Wednesday, including why some radar detectors failed to alert to it. Turns out there's some truth to the media's claim there
