Well for now i'm staying at a Mates place who lives in Yokine for now. My wife is currently in Bunbury working. But is actively seeking work in perth. she is a junior lawyer and been working only about 7 months. Perth firms require at least 2 years. So if she is lucky to find a firm that will take her on during the initial 2 years that would be idea. Then again my mates G/f is moving back to his place so I don't know how that will effect me. Might have to move out might not who knows. I think as long as I pay i should be allowed to stay But if my wife does get a job in perth it will be rent first, see how my job goes and once settle we might purchase. I seen some really nice places in Yokine those modern ones for about 800k ouch. I so want one hehehe |

Don't listen to these NOR punks. They will bat all day and night about how much better it is.
In all reality, once you are in a suburb they are all the same regardless of river position. (You have a view of other peoples houses). I'd say spend some time with your mate and see what and where you want to live. What people forget to tell you when 'its only 30-35 mins from the city' is that is more like 60-90 mins during peak hour traffic as it is gridlock on the freeway. Otherwise you need to get a train into the city, which isn't everyones cup of tea. I prefer SOR, but that's just me. Plus the best view of the city is from South Perth, not North Perth :P

I'll put a vote in for Fremantle which can be a great place to be. Night-life, restaurants, beach and an easy train ride to the city. The freo train line also doesn't tend to have as many issues as it passes through the western suburbs.

Freo is nice.. pretty expensive though, and hard to find a place.. Plus it sucks if you want to go anywhere bc its out of the way!! I loved it when I lived there though. :-) Lots of pubs and all staggering distance!
