This would probably be the smartest time for Telstra to really get competitive with pricing, as it is a big opportunity to push their biggest competitor out of the market...

Well been back and forth on email with a chick from Vodafone over the last 2 days,
When she originally said that network signal is not something they guarantee and cannot compensate people for it, (in reference to sms problem couple days ago)

I said her answer was not acceptable and it isn’t just the sms problem i have had and that it was just the final straw!!
Anyway my last email i suggested my contracts be opened giving me the freedom to move away, haven’t mentioned tio at this stage.

She came back now saying they will give me 3 months free on both of my services which is about $130 a month for 3 months saving there,

I said thanks and that will give me a chance to see if they improve their services,

I explained about a dead patch of 3g around jones street Karrinyup road end where i can’t access internet. Though other end of Balcatta and my end of Stirling is great.
She said I am in an "outdoor" area lol meaning not as good indoors crock of shit that is.

She said July is scheduled for a upgrade in this area, so we will see, at least i have 3 months completely free to wait it out.

A lot better than my $10mth off and an extra GB of data.

If you really don't depend on your phone that much and want to save a few $$ then stick with Vodafail. I switched to Telstra & yeah not as cheap, but I have reception pretty much everywhere I go, even the CBD!

Sounds like this is what they are doing to keep us to stay.

Do you have the email address to send to? I am going to try and get the missus 3 months free too.
