Shame you wont be able to stream goat herding documentaries on it since Vodas data network is a fucking fail atm :P

Walk. Best thing I did was ditch VF & switch to Telstra. Even when VF haven't had 'technical issues' their reception coverage has been shit. To put it into perspective, going to Wedge, my VF reception ends at Yanchep, while I had Telstra reception all the way to Wedge. Same with down south. You'd be better off getting a couple of tin cans and some string.

All depends where you are, I've heard people have shit data speeds in the city and surrounding areas but I get extremely fast internet in those areas with my phone, same with other areas.

called up vodafail, they want me to pay just under $500 to cancel my contract. already given me 50% off my bill for next 3 months and was gonna take $200 off my cancellation fee if i started another plan with them. so I said no and contacted TIO, vodafone have 10 days to contact me to resolve it i've been told.

That's what I did... Best thing I ever did. 2 months bill waived, handset free and walked to Telstra... Should never have left them.

contacted vodafone complaining about coverage and handset, said they could do nothing at all

threatened them with tio, apologized said they could do nothing

4 days later received an email from them waiving my contract to them
walked into telstra that day bought iphone and now have no problems

yeah to be honest

ive only just signed with them.. the money im saving over being on optus for the equivilent plan is heaps.
i like the phone i have...

if it gets shit in 6,12,18 months to a point i cant deal with it then ill bail.

After a week of having no phone, finally got it back today from 'repair'.
Reception is still as bad as ever, and CJs suggested resolution was to send it away again.

Not happy.

Have lodged a complaint online with TIO.

Got a call yesterday from tio saying I have till the end of the month to transfer my number over to any provider I wish free of charge. They told me I get to keep my handset too which is handy since I lost it a while back.

Right now the byo freedom Telstra 49 or 59 cap looks pretty attractive, still unsure what my best option will be, If i get this plan ill probably end up buying a second hand iphone 4 32g off gumtree or something for around 500
