When I originally had a cunt of a time over xmas when they were upgrading I called VF and asked to be put through to the "Loyalty Team".

I basically told them I was extremely disapointed at not being able to make or receive calls as it kept cutting out and I couldn't even use 1GB of my 2GB plan and I wasn't happy paying for it if I couldn't use it and would cancel my contract and go elsewhere (also mentioned the hundreds of other people who contacted the TIO and got out of contracts).

They gave me $10 a month of my contract for 6mths plus another and an extra GB of data for the same amount of time.

Was very easy and simple and was off the phone in under 30mins.

Alot better than speaking to random call centre people like I had done before.

Being with them for 10+ years for you Dan should help.

The only problem with getting a 6 month discount is that it doesn't fix the reception issues.
So even though I would be paying less I would still be in same boat with shit 3G lol



I guess it's good if you plan on sticking it out with them,


Saying that if Telstra options are not worth moving for I could be going nowhere.
But if I get my contracts opened the at least I have the chance of moving when I want.

Yeah I'm sticking with them as when I was with Optus they were 100x worse and the only issues I've had with VF were over xmas and previous problems prior to xmas I put down to my iFail 3gs.

I believe that once all the upgrades and shit are down then it will be all good.

I put that up as an example of what they might possibly offer you if you actually talk to a "Loyalty Team" operator instead of talking to some random one who says "sorry we dont guarantee coverage and youre getting nothing at all", having 110% more problems than me should get a lot more than that.

I'm with optus, and i've been in mandurah all weekend.. i was waiting around 3 minutes just to refresh my facebook updates page.. couldn't get a 3G signal for more than 5 seconds.

I love my optus plan, but the coverage is shit. Surely vodafones reception wouldn't be better than optus though?

Funny thing, I used to get faster internet up at the mine site in BFE than I did here 5 minutes from Perth CBD.

Sadly, it caught on with everyone wanting to contact their friends and families and such and now it's just as shit.
