My ATI card was exactly the same, Faulty from Day 1, had to RMA it, that one was still fucked. So i got a credit and went down the road of a 570.

Ive had a 9600XT, 1650XT, 4870, 6870HD, all were rubbish except the 4870.

Look at megabuy.com.au door to door delivery. Great pricing.

I've been buying/selling video cards for the last 15 years. The tables turn from time to time. You can't be loyal to Nvidia or ATi. Both have good products. Two years ago ATi was king. Now it seems Nvidia is at the top again. Heck it'll change again in another two years.

My advice: find the most demanding game that's out now and buy a card that can run it well. Then be prepared to buy a new card in 18 - 24 months time.

That's if your a gamer. If not then buy a 512mb dx11 card with no fan and be happy for the next 10 years.

Hope you went SSD hard drives! SSD FTW !

I went a little crazy and put 32GB RAM, i7 and two SSD's in RAID-0

Does the job well!

Changed over to the nvidia 560.

Mitch I wouldn't use an i7 equipped pc to anywhere near its potential, and blueray media is more expensive then HDD's.
