I've got one sPlit in the living area where we spend most of the time in doors awake and another ducted unit for the bedrooms and second story which we run for a couple of hours before we go to sleep. Very rarely do we have both units on as each will do their allocated area and a bit more. Works a treat.

One thing is get a slightly bigger unit than necessary so it's not working it's ring off to keep up.

We've got a ducted system that's about 15 years old, it's still cold but the fans running out of puff. I checked that there were no holes in the ducts and the mrs even paid for a Ford and Doonan guy to come out and do the same thing.

Any of the aircon guys here know a ball park cost of getting the fan bit that sits inside the roof replaced with one that blows a lot more air?

Can you please PM me (or post here) with the details of the company you work for so that I may be persuaded to pay money in exchange for goods and services?
