Just had an evap system with 6 outlets installed with wall mounted controller for $3890 by Ambience Air. Goes good but it has only been used twice since install due to shit weather. They do 6% interest for 6 months if that helps you decide to go a bit more expensive option.

Ambience Air eh?

Did their apprentice fall through your ceiling in your walk in robe and then try and cover it up by not saying anything, then when discovered, it had to be repaired 3 times because the installers supplied ceiling repair guy was totally useless?

Also, was your air con DOA after the installer phoned you and said it was completed and working, and when asked why it didn't work upon arrival at the property 30 mins later, they said "oh sorry mate it's a warranty job and a control panel cable is on order, will take 4 days", even though they charged the remainder of the payment in the cc because the "job was completed"?

Did every single staff member at their office blow you off when trying to find out the status of a part that was only supposed to take 4 days but took 3 weeks?

Did they complain loudly when you got the bank to freeze the credit card payment until the air con was working?

Did their installer gouge your new walls with his ladder, cut the duct hole in the eaves way too big for the duct cover and leave black handprints all over your manhole cover?

Did your control panel fall off the wall 3 days later because the installer broke all the mounting clips and shoved folded up bits of paper in the panel to hold the cover on?

No? Was probably just our place then :P

Summers coming

Looking at at getting refrigerated ducted system for 4 rooms, 2 zones
Total space of 110m2, but high ceilings
Going to get ford and donnan to get quote
But interested to gauge some ballpark figures or further recommendations

bump,

Looking at getting a ducted reserve cycle for my little 3x2 villa. I'm in no rush at the moment, waiting for a quote from Ambience and ford and donnan. They seemed to be snowed under being summer and all.

Is Anyone else competitive I should be looking at for a quote?

Any of you guys had experience with the Samsung range of air conditioning? Smart Inverter?

My Ducted Reverse Cycle died in the storm. Epic Shit fight about to start with GIO since they aren't covering it.

$10,700 to replace with a Daiken / Panasonic

Then just found a supplier through my sparky that will sell a 14.8KW Mitsubishi or Samsung $3K!

I must say this is for the Indoor and outdoor unit and a control panel, no duct, no zone controller but still it is uber cheap.

Strange our GIO policy covers our Daiken unit if damaged/stolen.
