If I am on a road that I think is safe can I do whatever speed I think is suitable? NO.

Actually, looking at statistics the rate of accidents and deaths in school zones previous to the change to 40Km hour zones suggests it a revenue raising process which limits a child's ability to learn appropriate skills with dealing with crossing roads.

This is often raised with regards to inappropriate speed limits.

Alexander Drive used to be 90 up to Gnagarra Rd to just before where Hepburn Crosses it.

Leach used to be 80

Reduce speeds, increase revenue
