Default Bricking up a carport/ garage extension

As per title; who's dunnit and how much did it cost? Have done some searching but can't find much post 2007 and I'm guessing costs have changed post GFC.

I'm needing 2 sides to be covered plus a little of the rear (opens into back garden) and will put a smaller roller door in the rear.

Also, wouldn't mind raising the roof a tad, the only issue is the roof of the carport is part of the main house roof which may complicate things/increase cost.

And no, I'm doing doing a D.I.Y job, I want something that will last longer than 2 months before crumbling down around my cars!

I have around 200 house bricks, beige/cream colour, new/unused, left over from my house build in 2008, stacked in my garage that you can have if that is of any use?

If you don't need them, and someone else reading this needs 200 new/clean house bricks, drop me a PM. They're free.

Are you enclosing it to turn it into a garage/workshop? or a living space?
I converted my carport in one of my houses to a lounge/mancave kinda setup. Flatscreen, bar fridge, pot belly fireplace etc.
With the know-how and a bit of time, it's not hard.

Garage with adjoining workshop/storage shed. The workshop will run down the side of the double garage and will either be a custom shed type arrangement, or will be fully bricked in and roofed over.

The main reasons for closing it in is that currently my car is exposed to direct sunlight/rain/hail etc through the side for the majority of the day, the existing 3x3m shed is no-where near big enough and I believe an enclosed garage adds value to the property too.

raising the roof or ceiling (i think this is what you really mean?) is going to be costly, bricking in your carport is not, you will need new footings for the new walls tied into your existing carport (brick?) pier footings, you also need to tie the new brickwork into existing piers (say at 4 course vert centres), then just build up to the underside of the existing ceiling, easy as, if you have a mate thats a bricky they should be able to do it really easily

if you are enclosing your garage you need a building permit and council approval...
