The car is so classy, interior is smicko, and it goes like a cut snake, has the APR stage one tune!

I had THE best day yesterday!

I took my niece Diving in Tulamben, Bali as an 18th gift.
This was both of our first time with scuba gear, it was epic!

We did 2 dives, the second to 12m and on the wreck of the Liberty - a 120m long US cargo ship torpedoed by the Japanese in WW2.

On another note - Go pro Hero 3 + waterproof housing FTW!

Happy snaps:

Time to do my open water ticket I reckon!

So much win there Ross! I got my junior OW 14 years ago now and it's given me so much joy in all these years.

If I had more time here I'd do it with the guys from Dive Concepts for $280 Aud.

I'll do it in Perth and be butt hurt for over $500.........I HAVE to do it now though!

I snorkeled for years but have never thought about scuba - that's all changed now!

I was at 100bar after 45mins @ 12m on our second dive, so I was very relaxed and pretty happy with the air usage. overweight 40 year old smoker and all......

P.S If you're in Bali - the trek out to Tulamben (3hrs by car) is well worth it. Our 2 dives cost us $60 each total inc. all gear. The instructors are excellent.
The wreck starts 50m off the shore, the top side of the bow is in 8m and the stern is at 30m so access is superb! There are numerous swim throughs - we did 4 of them (vid to follow once I'm back in Perf!)

I look forward to seeing the footage then! From memory the store I was aligned with when living in Perth did OW for just under $500 like you said, unsure of what other stores charged. If you like wrecks though, both the Swan and the Perth in Dunsborough and Albany are great dives. Sitting on the floor at 30ish metres. Being back in Adelaide now I really don't go out much locally, but prefer to go to Gambier for the caves/caverns instead. Hopefully you'll be ticketed when I come over to Perth for a wedding later in the year though for a Rotto dive!
