You can still enjoy your food (Any food once healed) - It's just the quantity that gets reduced. i.e 4 crackers & dip rather than 10 & a tub of dip or 100 grams of steak v a 450g T-bone.

It's a tool to help you learn portion sizes more than anything else.

I know 6 others that have had this procedure - not one of them regrets their decision.

My mum broke her ankle which. The doctors took 18montgs to find nd fix properly kept. Saying it was a Sprain and she over reacted .... Anyway this resulted in barely being able To walk for nearly 18months . she has always struggled to keep weight off (after I ruined her apparently ) and was allready overweight but this added to it big time.
She got this op nd once the weight started dropping made it far less pressure on her stuffed ankle and eventually got to the point she was able to jog nd what not .... A year out she is less the half her pre op weight and the healthiest she has ever been ...

The best thing is she is able to maintain it very easily .. Like last night we went out for her bday dinner and mum still had a surf and turf but didn't eat the lot ...

I recon its just a fat son diet I get alot of left over these days

Agreed, my Mrs is a real foodie. Loves cooking, loves eating (hence her problem in the first place). She was concerned at first, but she hasn't regretted it either.

As others have said, the sleeve op, as opposed to the band op, allows you to eat anything you ate before, just a lot less. When we go out for meals now, we'll either share a main (great as it makes me eat less too - you'll be surprised how little you actually need to maintain a full and healthy lifestyle), or she'll get a starter as a main, or just not eat it all, or take goodie bags home.

There hasn't been a single downside of it yet that we can see. In some people, depending on how big they were before and how elastic their skin is, can leave some excess skin, which can cost a lot to get rid of if it bothers you. The surgeon can run though all this with you though.

And just to top things off - Version 6 has just become the latest consumer of Corn Juice......

Pure Awesomeness!!

13 degrees of timing in it at peak torque - up from 8 degrees on Bp98..... Still running 1.5 bar on the Td05-20g and bugger me if it doesn't come on harder & at nearly the same Rpm as the Vf34 on 98 did!

How long did it take me to re-tune on E85?

15minutes.............Gotta love Vi-Pec ecu's!

STOKED!!
