Thumbs up

Was lucky enough to experiance the some of the awe that is
F6F today, certainly an event that has been embedded into my
memory for a long time to come.

Very hard to put into words on just how good the
whole package is!

Congrats on making your dream come true brother!

amazingly all in one piece!

what an awesome car that's all i have to say. even on a run-in tune with little boost its just awe inspiring! any speed any gear on boost it lights up those massive rear tyres with ease leaving several metres of painted italian rubber.

i have decided to run on a mix of half u98 and e85 all the time to be on the safe side but also average out the mixture to around 100ron. i have bought two 44 gallon drums of the stuff so when its fully run-in ill tune it on this and around 25psi and see what we get >550rwkw hopefully.

i looked into some c16 but the price of one drum even scares me, 1900 at wholesale! so i might wait for that or go budget spec and just get 60lts!

in the meantime i feel the brakes are just not up to the task. the factory brembo's with the dba5000 and fero pads just don't give me the confidence i am after so i will look into a better (read bigger) option. currently a harrop 381mm or an alcon 378mm.

Thanks for the update Choco. Suggest you buy a parachute as well as the brake upgrade!

These bolt on kits or is some fab work needed?

both are bolt on kits but i fear my simmons wont be able to clear them...i need to do some homework first.

my heart says the harrops but a two piece alloy caliper vs a monobloc of the alcon is hard to fault.

Features
* 48 vane two piece directional rotor has improved cooling, stability, and durability
* Uses standard master cylinder, ABS module (where fitted), and hoses
* Optional approved braided brake hoses available

Kit Includes

* Two piece 381mm (15") 48 vane directional front rotors (pair)
* Aluminium front disc adaptors (pair)
* 6 piston Harrop two piece aluminium front calipers (pair)
* Caliper brackets
* Brake pads
* Bolts, washers and mounting hardware

Alcon introduces a new and exciting range of road brake packages, using genuine Alcon monobloc 4 or 6 piston calipers, genuine Alcon discs, CNC aluminium billet rotor hats, CNC aluminium billet brackets, High Performance Brake Pads and Brake Fluid.

Benefits of adopting an Alcon kit include monobloc caliper technology for stiffness, dust seals to ensure foreign debris does not enter the piston bores. Directional, vented discs with cresent groove design allowing constant airflow with the latest in groove strength technology. The rotor hats and caliper brackets are CNC machined components using 7075 T6 sreies aluminium.

These kits are then finished off with exceptional race brake fluid and quality brake pads.

Kit includes:

* 378mm Disc Rotors with Cresent Grooves
* Monobloc 6 Piston Calipers
* CNC Machined Aluminium Rotor Hats
* CNC Machined Aluminium Brackets
* High Performnace Brake Pads
* High Performance Brake Fluid
