You'll probably do the 1000kms and go through a set of tires this weekend

So with the controller and MSD box you don't have to do anything at start up? Just turn the key like normal? I'm amazed that you don't have a complex start up sequence for the fuel system, let alone that it can drive like stock off boost!

yeah its amazing, just hit that fpv starter button and it all fires up as it should.

the controllers (both the aeromotive & msd) take all the hard work of starting it. normally you would need to prime the system, switch the pump off, then start witout pump and hopefully have enough in your fuel lines before running out and then switching the pump back on.

i also have cut off switches that let you do the above but more important incase the system becomes airated, turns off the pump controller that lets you run the thing at full cycle (for drags) without dropping any voltage on it.

the reason for all this is that no other fuel pump can supply you with this kind of power/flow. normally you build redundacy with double or triple up your supply for multiple pumps as one can't do it but you then leave to much to fait if one failed so you have no choice but to only consider the one pump. running filters before and after the pump along with the controller and every other trick insures the lifespan of this bohemoth!

if you want to find out more, head on over to www.aeromotiveinc.com and look under pro-series.

only drawback is naturally the noise, but its kinda cool anyway!

200 series in dash 6,8 & 10 wasn't an issue, but the dash 12 size was not available with proper fit on high pressure fittings locally, only press on low pressure ones. so much so that it caused a huge headache in the end. the supplier from IS finally sorted it out first thing monday after a few mix-ups.

Should have let me know I'm not sure what the 200 series is, but SST-12 (S/S Teflon) I can get hold of with crimped fitting ends. It's only rated to 160-180psi, but if you have any more problems with it, just let me know.

good spot!

one of the reasons im not driving it now is because the bov's are not on the car, that was being sorted first thing today along with a few other tidy ups but im still on track to picking it up on friday.

thought it over and running two 50mm raceports might discharge too much air but then again it could be just what it needs. treating it like an experiment, if two is way to much, then just plumb up the one....wouldn't hurt anyway as space has become a premium around this area!
