Indeed.

I enjoyed the planes, but the traffic management, lack of public transport and taxi drivers not knowing where to go or what to do is really appalling.

Things like my taxi driver not knowing where she could drop us off, so despite having good paying customers in the taxi, she didn't listen and ended up dropping us off north of the river, when we were wanting to be south of the river. Massive lines at the ferry terminal and no additional buses or ferries running. Then being told 'oh sorry guys, the ferry will stop in 30 mins, you had better walk across'. If I was a tourist to Perth, I would be very disappointed.

Oh this was all on the 'quiet' practice day. I only had to deal with the pathetic traffic management on Sunday. (P.S. Police/Main Roads - if you are going to block off streets, maybe put detour signs up for those who aren't that familiar with the area!)

most of them were taken with the 100-400L IS thanks to hiring services from STU, the wide angle shot was taken with my 17-85 IS

shooting at 400mm was very hard to say the least. trying to aim at those quick planes + focus and etc made it pretty hard. the one with the yellow plane was taken at around 350mm.
