Last year i found it was VERY glairy looking across the water from the south side. From the North side it was quite a bit further away but didn't spend the whole time squinting.

managed to hit up the south side for about 20 minutes was driving past

a sample, these things move quik you gotta be steady with your panning haha

100-400mm L on 5D is actually nice size for shooting airrace

Nice Work!!

just make sure you use stabilizer mode 2 haha and helps if you use the setting that doesnt focus closer then 6.5 metres it wont hunt for focus as much.

is that autofocus setting somewhere on the lens?? i know the IS switch is but ive never seen that lens phisically

yeh there is autofocus/manual focus switch then underneath is another switch which lets you focus from 1.8m to affinity or 6.5m to affinity. use the second one for the planes
