I work on Garden Island and I've been seeing and hearing them practice all week. Keep hearing that distinctive change in engine note as they do the loops.

"Pit Lane Walk
Get up close to the aircraft and spot the pilots in their Hangers with a free Pit Lane Walk to be held at Langley Park on the morning of Saturday 3 November from 10am to 11.30am."

I might do this too...

im having a ball... i was out at Langley park during lunch, and had the 2 seater joy flight plane land over my head whilst I enjoyed my sandwich. And they have been practicing the course all afternoon so far... I like the vertical loop at the causeway end...

oh yer, if you go to www.redbullairrace.com and go to game's you can play the perth stage... its pretty hard, but what is cool, is I can fly the plane right into the building I am working in... its actually a decent computer model of Perth, except you can't fly under the narrows.. as it is solid, oh and it doesn't sound that cool

nah mate, im in GHD house. I'm about 70m East of the Victoria Ave end of Langley Park.

I am literally right infront of the take off/landing strip and the whole course. Best spot!

Haha why bother getting sun burnt on sunday, just take a 6 pack into work and sit in airconditioned comfort. Take a tv in so you can hear the commentry!

We have a pretty sick view of the track but they are not getting that close.

like i mentioned earlier in this thread, my work throw a big BBQ on the roof of our building, and I get free parking, so I would like to think I will pop down for a while. Altho, after watching them all day today, and tomorrow, i will probably have had enough of it
