I'm looking into buying another Dslr after previously having an Oly E-330 (transition from 35mm slr to digital) & later a Nikon D60 , both of which I liked.

I'm torn Between the Nikon D90 & the Canon 60D......Help!??

Camera will be used for general shooting, motor sport & Astro-photography (bulb mode).

Perhaps find just the body from HK where they are cheap and spend the extra on some better glass?

The thing will only be as good as the glass in front of it.

Hell you could buy a 50D and spend more on glass and end up better off.

Hard to find a low shutter count 50D....

I do get a little lost with the huge range of Canon glass available..... I may need to lean on you a little for this!

i've got a 50d and it's great, had it since they first came out. haven't used one but i'd imagine the 60d is even better

thing is once you choose canon or nikon, take the plunge and spend the bucks you'll find you stop fussing over the features of either (most of which you won't use) and just enjoy using the system you have. before i bought mine i poured thru hundreds of articles and reviews, trying to toss up between the brands and models within each.. at the end of the day your artistic skill and ability to set the camera and hold it steady are what make good pictures - not the camera you bought... plenty of ppl make better photos with iphone cameras than i do with my 50d

buy my nikon d700 for $1700.
