What mods on the 98? Wouldn't think the manifold would let you fit a 09 TMIC... 230kw on a GC8 is more than enough imo.

The tmic on the 98 was a good thing, i remove the throttle body side tank off, welded a plug in the BOV hole, and cut the pipe for the BOV off the 98 core and welded that into the tank, but the trick was i turned the take around 180degs, to the BOV hole is above the turbo pointing down, new bov pipe off the tank aka like std, fits like a gem

98 specs:

2.1 stroker
v3 sti heads with 264 kelford cams
4>1 non el headers

bbk turbo
autronic ecu
std air box, silicon intake pipe, MSR TBE
custom tmic splitter and big 03 sti scoop

plans are to fit a PWR tmic core to the 09 tanks, should let me push more boost and power.

the ball bearing i believe never eventuated.

The Billet wheel provides plenty of quick spool up so i dont think there is a need. BB will only drive the price up quite a bit and CBRD only do the basic bearings. BB cant be rebuilt either

hehe yeah I know.

I'm just eager to see the results instead of the theoreticals

I'll probably be going back to single scroll anyhow after a while dealing with the fartcan noise coming out at the moment.

So as soon as I find someone willing to swap headers / brackets / up pipe I'll come see you.
