Used to be a big fine and a red-sticker but now worst case scenario it's just another non-standard modification much like an FMIC/loud exhaust etc which is a yellow-sticker (if the cop doesn't like you or he/she didn't get a shag that morning before work).

But I've been pulled over numerous times with the NOS all connected and fully working and occasionally they'll say "I hope that isn't working" or something to that effect but that's about it.

I got pulled over for a "license check" the other night in my white wrx and when they saw the NOS bottle the chick copper asked me what times I was getting and when I said "around 12 seconds" she said "you should be able to do better than that with NOS surely?"

As soon as you said what the suspension was doing I was going to mention getting it sorted! I bet its terrible to push through the corners at the moment!

Just to play the old fogy.

Be a bit careful while you are learning to drive the thing. Sounds like a complete animal to drive and things go wrong very fast at mach 2.

Most people think they can handle a nuts car ( or sports bike ) a lot better than they really can.

Would hate to see the thing turn you into a statistic.

Agreed and thanks for the advice. At the moment I'm only really opening it up on flat straight stretches of (private ) road. As soon as I see a bend approaching i'm straight onto the brakes as it's just too unpredictable how it's going to react. With my other wrx, around corners you keep applying power to make the wheels grip the road but with this thing even the slightest blip on the loud pedal when the turbo is spooled up and it goes nuts.

I can honestly say that last night/early this morning at full throttle going over some small bumps at high speed, for a brief moment I was genuinely fearful for my life, which was plenty enough to make me want to get that suspension sorted out and then get plenty of practice in a controlled environment before I even attempt to go those sorts of speeds again.

From what he said, it became too difficult to drive (ie heavy clutch, loud exhaust etc) and he stoppped enjoying it, plus he's more into motorbikes now and was going to use the money from selling the car to buy a racetrack only R1.

As for why he never got to his goal, all that was needed to get to his goal of 700hp was a bigger turbo and NOS. The NOS I am going to do anyway, as for the bigger turbo well if anything I'd be more inclined to go for a smaller turbo as currently it takes a fair bit to spool this one up and by the time it has spooled you've run out of road. The other option is dual-stage NOS like I have on my white wrx, a small shot for kicking the turbo into life then a big one for up top madness.
