mao, i'd be a little concerned for the customers car if you were dyno tuning a car knowingly when the valve timing was out?

i'm amused none the less, would certainly explain the lower power output.

I'm amused at this whole saga really. None of it makes any sense and I find it hilarious that they are arguing about it on here for us to all nitpick at, instead of discussing with each other.

Just a side note, I'd you use a genuine timing belt, once you haw turned the motor over by hand the marks on the belt will not line up again, you must make sure the single line on the intake cam is vertical (12 o clock). It is possible for the cam pulled to jump a few teeth if there isn't enough tension on the belt between the pullys.

Rest assured that the car was carefully handled at all times because of this issue.

Questions were made multiple times before this about the valve timing and we were told it was right over n over again.

Regardless of that, we did not move further with the tune.

Vehicle had other problems as well with boost problems that we had to check on the dyno logs vs the prev logs.

I thought as much.. you don't know

Heads may of had machined faces
Head gaskets come in a number of thickness, refer to my sicky post

Cam shafts could be stock or after market, again there is many types
Even block faces get machined, all of these are required to be measured

What happens when ppl try and do what they can and aren't experienced enough, then start blaming ppl.

Can even tell what cams they are? Wasting your time. You in the past said working on Subarus was easy at one point, doesnt look so easy now.

Too hard basket?
I'd hate to think about the size of the hole in AJ's wallet after all these car changes...
