Mao I have a suggestion, do up a job sheet or similar for every car you take in.

That way things will not get missed, like hard wiring the Varex

Not tell me to wiggle wires under the dash to get it working..not very professionel... Would of taken a whole 5 mins to cut, rewire and solder..one simple phone call wouldnt of hurt

And yes i did talk to warick about those things..but before i came back the second time i checked my timing belt marks and it was all ok
Did you not have a string of posts on here trying to get your timing right because you were having issues?

disclaimer - mao is not paying me to post this

Yup, I am so unprofessional that I drove from Salter Pt to Balcatta to fix a loose ignition wire for ya, which had nothing to do with the job on hand, while u had been duly advised about it, all on my own accord, with not a dime to cover my time or fuel. Word of thanks would have been great let alone this.

Ouch!

I've never seen a forum supporter/vendor treated with such disrespect!

On a lighter note: There is not enough vacuum and that's why Warick told u timing is off. Will seriously pay to double check the timing again. We suspected it was off at least a tooth the first time u brought it in.

We shouldn't have to... It should be sorted behind closed doors... It's the obvious thing to do.

I mean it's been a good laugh, my girlfriends quote "this is better then Facebook, it's way more bitching", but seriously be professional and talk to Mao.

Changing the topic to the issue of timing, how did you ensure the timing marks were lined up when you replaced the timing belt ajay?

There is only one way to do it properly, and that's by:

1. Ensuring the marks on the original belt line up with the pulley marks, before removing the belt.

2. Use a paint pen to redraw the marks on the belt before removing it, if they are faded or rubbed off.

3. Put the old and new belts together once the original is removed, and make sure the marks line up! This is VERY important, because sometimes they're not the same! If they aren't, mark the new belt with the paint pen to match the old belt. If you want to be super accurate, count the teeth between the marks on the old and the new belt also.

4. Install new belt, ensuring that marks line up with pulley marks.

If this hasn't been done as above, then there is a chance the timing could actually be out.

Im still waiting for the list of the 20 people who have complained directly to Kym rather than take it up with the owner of the workshop that has wrong them so badly. Without any proof, thats as low as anyone else posting "20 people have said *********** is fucking crap dont go there"

Also waiting to hear why rather as a friend/whatever to those people, the best recourse of action was decided to pent up all the "anger" and then make a post bagging out Evo R. I mean, if 2/3 people came to me and said I am having issue with xyz I would encourage a collabrative and immediate approach to flagging it.

End of the day, means fuckall to me, I have been to pretty much every wrx shop bar mms at some stage for bits, I have no alliance to mao, evo r, or any other Subaru establishment.... but to sit there and say that when he has done considerable good (how many discounts has he offered, how many times has fixed someones brant for free, etc etc) is low WITHOUT proof. It is especially low, because his support funds the forum which we all get our kicks from in one way or another. You may not "like" mao but he does as much for this place as you do.. or I for that matter.

With it, I will happily apologise for my comments and fully support your anger.

You know where to find me if you take issue with this post Kym.

^^The thing that puzzles me is that the people making the most noise, I believe haven't had any work done by EvoR on their vehicles.

But I will stand corrected if wrong, and Ajayjay you've only piped up after certain people made comment!!
