Switched back to original springs, my undercarriage is a mess with shaven clips, bodgy cable ties and half/ fully exploded guards. and the ride quality nasty suprise holes, bucking bronco over lumps and bumps. also highway speeds the car is way more settled on the standard springs where i was starting to feel like i was in a commodore again. wereas the standard springs with the swaybars and alk its sharper, more settled and more responsive to a level where i can have fun on and off the street. now i can hopefully replace all the damaged undercarriage guards and clips without a repeat offense. Practicallity and performance have won this round. still cant justify coilovers, i think im pretty much done in the handling depot for now. what i have works and if it aint broke dont fix it

replaced door without too much dramas, just a few swear words here and there. still waiting for rest of parts, wing i ordered was discontinued so i've switched it to this one..

370mm tall, apparently its near level with the roof high (eek!)
but at least i will see clearly in the rearview, one of my pet hates of the rex.
sharper lines should hopefully mesh with the rear bumper

also these, gonna top off the NFS/racecar kit..

will be only one like it i guess, just the way it should be

thanks for the pointers on the clips fellas.. got them all and guards in flash as. was 4 different types of bodyclips, heaps of spares now and no dragging plastic guards, cable ties.. lol. totally wont make it down to perth this weekend too sucks ass but my cars in no shape for prancing missing a fender and borderline stickerbait tyres. still be down later mid next week for rims n fresh tread. more net shopping has resulted in me getting some custom mudflaps (YES MUDDFUKKNFLAPS!) to protect my new kit from immenent stone chips and what not.. offered for me to sent jpegs for my own design's was pretty cool but went for the pig and quote on the back and sti logos on the front ones.. black guards and metallic blue..
pictured is example of colour and pig but my fronts will be sti in the same blue
[IMG][/IMG]
also got some stainless and billet alley bits, including tow hook thats apparently fia and msa compliant ( i bet mr thai monkey with a drill..)
[IMG][/IMG]

Won't be fitting this stuff till the rest of the kit arrives as no point really putting lipstick on a dugong now is there..?
also open to last minute suggestions on rims, though im pretty sold on some grids. And size i should run, but ill probably leave that up to the tyre shop too
