I cant believe it wasnt written off. Are you getting anything else dropped into the motor whilst its getting built or are they just dropping a long block in straight from subie?

yeah was a close one id say tony! kinda stoked because this car is special to me. my first fun car ever, birthday present to myself on a hard year purchased with a shiny gift from the sea! no other car will be this one to me! repairs have been authorised today, i have no idea what they are doing to it tony though id lean towards a long block. not as good as a complete new one but i can see how they justify it as most damage is internal, bar sump and oil cooler. other than that its front spoiler, front subframe, underbody covers.. wasnt much body damage just direct hit on the sump. as for the new motor ill be clamping it down tight (arp) pretty soon after its broken in. honestly think that will do. and possibly get carried away and do turbo/fuel. id like 300-320whp this time. didnt want to change turbos with my old semi clapped motor (using oil makes me worry!)

Pretty sure if a new long block was required it would have been a write off.
