The last time i used the 10/10ths 10/40 it was still quite warm temperture track days, and it seemed to drop a fair bit of pressure at lower rpms straight after a race. I think the hotter ambient temp coupled with the racing heat coupled with e85 dilution and it went a bit runny. Which is why i went to the thicker grade. The 10/40 is most definitely gonna be better during cold months. But if your doing track work and its hotter outside, maybe thicker? But the thicker would be worse for cold starts?

Dunno. i aint no oil scientist

Starting the fuel system tonight. just need to buy a soldering thingy and I have got everything else.

Hopefully the engine will be done in the next two weeks, then tune it.

Skids.

I would love to, but I can't see it happening at this stage. Maybe I could convince the wife to take two cars down south on our holiday and sneak across for a couple of laps...

Such a well made kit, hard to fault at this stage.

I looked at these a while back. Very well made and very well thought out. I just thought they were expensive as hell though. I've done my whole fuel system including braided lines, alloy fittings, 3 pumps and fuel pressure reg for what one of those cost.

But then again Im a typical pom with short arms and long pockets.

Yeah they are pricey Daz but all the new surge systems I priced up were.

In the end it came down to practicality, being that it is a complete vehicle specific kit and so far the install is going smooth. Plumbing the FPR1200 and fuel lines tonight and then on to the dreaded wiring tomorrow, if all goes well.
