Couldn't agree with the above post more!

Love cruising around in my Mrs comfy, quiet, relaxing, top of the range, Auto V6 Mitsubishi Outlander for this exact reason!

Don't get me wrong I love hopping back in the Rex! Just find myself using her car all the time for a quick nip to the shops because I want something comfy... Maybe I'm just getting old!

I love my wrx but fuck me it's a struggle sometimes day in day out.

It's nice to get back in, but it's nice to get out sometimes too. Don't push it too far if it's your daily as it will become a burden, even if you think you may have street creds because you drive around on r-comps on your daily with your coilovers on full stiff.
Agreed. There comes a point where these cars can get too much for daily driving, so mods must be planned accordingly. If you wanna go all out with handling and power mods, keep a few grand spare for a cheap daily runabout. This will give you a break from the noise and harshness, also provide backup for any occasions where the wrx may be off the road for whatever reason...

+1 agreed for the 3 posts above.
Just trying to find that balance which doesn't make me think twice before jumping in for a shops run.
I don't mind some nvh and a stiffer ride, but there is a limit, not extreme like them ones where you see drivers frowning every time they go over a leaf on the road.
Subframe bolts and rear diff front locking bushes will be unnecessary items then... together with my current upgrades, with coilovers and ALK coming up should be all that is required to have a solid handling setup that is good enough for events and also easy to live with

Might I suggest doing a couple events first ? Seeing how the car currently handled on it's limit and modding accordingly. You already know how it handles in day to day driving.

Yes you've done one rac day as far as I know.

If you don't have coil overs and alk yet, you are in for a big shock in terms of daily drivability... I've known a few people who have put coilovers in only to take them back out...

Taylor, good advice for anyone just buying a new car...

You said it, as far as you know... did more than this.
I know how she handles and what I'm looking for now.

Haven't launched into handling mods just for the sake of it, mods coming with time and what I need to address before even thinking of trying sprint series etc

I concur.

Have coilovers, commodore wagon is daily. Can't afford the chiro bills to drive it to work everyday.

Yea I've heard some stories of that.

I do have Eibachs, stiffer links, sways, brace, and Group N everything except strut tops...its pretty stiff, some friends that rode in mine even thought I had coilovers as is... but apparently some heavy spring rate coilovers are a different level of ass hurt while driving.

Im getting ready for the worse, and if it turns out less than what I thought it'll be a nice surprise...

Going for 8kg/6kg rates btw...and going coilovers first then see if really required ALK

Yup..8 front and 6 rear...any heavier would be too harsh for daily life, according to feedback received and reviews floating around.
