Each has their own opinion on tunning style and tuner, and hard to be altered. Im just thinking what reading is used for others' car......

Tony, thx for the source.

Gordon (if that's your real name) What dyno graphs are you talking about. Put up some links or pics for reference. Otherwise you are just making yourself look like a dick as Russ has already pointed out.

Reading this is like watching a public stoning. Gordon chose to work with evo-r, he loves his car. Hes happy with mao's tuning abilities. so was I. hes not starting a battle, hes defending himself and his tuner.

Thx, mate, I try to be objective, and I do like his style, just like other shop supporters. and he helped me on many occasions where other shops won't even bother.

On that afr matter, I did literally and genuinely wanna know how everyone's car has their afr monitored, because all mainlane dyno and some hub dyno ic here and fb, runs 12 afr.

From day one I always said Lane was a good tuner, since I have dealt with him before. Not offend rt or u in anyway. Its just a question. Hope u get the afr issue sorted quickly. Sigh.

AFR issue is sorted, the car is retuned and feels strong again. I posted up the second dyno sheet. There are no 12 afr's in my tune when on boost. I watched it being tuned.

I'm not offended Gordon I just want to see the tunes you are referring to.

I tune mine to 10.8 -11 at peak torque (@ 4700 rpm & 1.6 bar), then lift to around 12 from 5500 through to my 8500 redline.

Hi Rossco,

Are you tapering boost down between 5500-8500? Is that why you are able to go back up to 12 on the afr's?

I don't tune any boost taper in - there may be a slight drop of 2-3psi by redline due to the VF34 being out of puff though.

AFR's of 12-12.5 (after peak torque) have proven to be safe on my frankenmotor.

Every engine is different & mine has pretty good volumetric efficiency up top.
