The best way to learn something is to just go and do it. Unfortuantly with AC TIG its a fairly hefty financial investment to get set-up and started. Your gonna need to spend about AU$2.5k for a complete setup. (Welder, torch, table, gas bottle/gas reg, foot pedal, auto dark mask/PPE, consumables; filler wire, acetone, tungstens, torch parts etc.)

But that said, for me the TIG gear was one of the best tools ive bought. And as far as modifing cars, also one of the best things ive done. Ive used it now to make headers, exhaust pipes, intercooler pipes, coolant tanks, custom brackets and all sorts of stuff. If i had of paid someone to professionally make all the things ive made with the TIG so far, it would cost more than it cost to buy the gear and learn how to do it myself.

No. I dont really want to do the rallysprints there. For me, its still too high risk event. In the time i was co-driving with Burke there last year, there was consistently on average about 4 or 5 offs per event, some minor, some quite serious. And that was pretty standard for every night i went. (Including a minor off in Burkes car one night) When you consider that there are about 60-70 cars starting per event, thats actually statistically very very high risk.

Ill show you the maths for a worst case scenario night at rallysprint. With 5 crashs out 60 starters (5÷60×100 = 8.333333) That means that as much 8.3% of cars starting get destroyed to some degree every event. Thats nearly 1 in 10. Compare that to something like RAC, where the only crash i know about was yours.

I have put too much work and cash into the car to run that high risk. I havent been tallying the build cost, but i think its fair to say the car has about $100k sunk in it. And not only that, alot of the (Forester STi) parts are extremely rare now, if not impossible to replace. For example, the SG9 STi body kit is one of less than 2000 ever built. Alot of the add-ons to the kit like the OEM C/F foglight surrounds and add-on STi pods/skirts etc are significantly more rare than that. Probably less than 1/4 of the SG9 STis built would have optioned those from the OEM catalouge. My car has ALL the optioned OEM body parts, and i spent a massive amount of time and cash hunting those very rare Forester parts. Too much to risk that event. Fuck, even hitting a curb and its gonna cost over $1k to replace a bent Volk rim.

What color do you want for the text and background? Normal vinyl wrap/sticker colours to choose from.
