Edit: I know that you can dismiss an employee on worker's comp, but you are still paying for them and still have the added cost to your WC premium. However, I would doubt WorkcoverWA would allow dismissal based that they can't do certain hours only. You are meant to find alternative work until they are fit. The dismissal is normally only for positions that are made redundant in the 12 month period from when they are first injured. This is why I said employers should contact their insurers and legal prior to just going out firing people.

However, if you have experience doing this still keen to know.

I work in healthcare. An exciting part of healthcare. People blog about what we do, normally in an abstract way. There was someone who thought it would be appropriate to put patient records on her blog, changing only the names. Everything else was verbatim, including what happened, where, when, why, and treatment. She no longer has a place in the company.

That would be a breach of the Privacy Act wouldn't it?
