I like the idea of vinyl wrapping a new car, protects the original paintwork and if u get bored of it can easily remove or redo.

TJ - that was done just for a photo shoot and instructional vid they were making. Was a hire car and
returned in original condition. Reference to colour scheme noted, tho a bit tasteless way of saying it yeah?

I like the idea of buying a brand new colour I want and people being able to see said colour.

Clear protect I can understand on something of value.

Thinking about how to do this. When im applying the wrap i should pull it tight so that it forces long bubble. Doing a foot at a time. This way i will not get lots of small bubbles as i have forced them to become long bubbles going to the edge where the wrap has not been stuck down yet. Then i can work from the start of the bubble to the edge, giving the air somewhere to escape to? Obviously i would start from the middle of the roof and work outwards. I havent really found many instructions for installing it so im writing down a plan of action to try and eleviate known problems.

Edit: also should add i would be heating to bubbles as i push them out so they dont crease once they are almost gone as there will be alittle bit of extra material from the large bubble.

Good point but u don't have to do the whole car - that being said I can't see my WRX getting vinyl'd any time . . . well ever.

Different grades of wrap need somewhat different techiques to get the best result . . .that is the extent of my knowledge sorry.
