Fair enough Pete

I havent worked on cars or at Subaru since 1993 but I am a IAME member and know a little (He knows some of the pepole I worked with). He gave a presentation and talk that conferred confidence in me (and from our discussions afterwards) that he knows a lot.

I was surprised at the comment and like I said It isnt necessarily my view but thought I'd repeat it as I think it makes for interesting discussion.

He did agree there was room for improvement and sighted emissions as the main thing holding back the engineers. It is the reason we dont get the twin scoll turbo's on Liberty and 2.0L WRX's anymore as they dont meet Euro 4.

If this statement is true then that ECUtek dealer needs a good kick in the ass. No way in fuck should he be giving out customers numbers for any reason, especially if he's trying to make a sale

Verso = Market domination

ECUtek = Bridesmaid

who are you referring to "talking sh!$" I'm a professional businessman who has looked to this forum for some guidance and to nut out some truth...
As far as talking about things that "they know nothing about" this info is coming direct from the dealers! Too often I've noticed in the years that I've been trailing this forum people getting flamed and knocked down...

verso is based on open share software (i.e. generic), modified by whoever is using it to tune. ecutek has been engineered to work with the cars they are going to be programming. therefore you cannot charge for one what you do for the other. verso does not do si drive for this reason, ecutek already does, because it has been engineered from scratch. from here you choose the software and tuner. all this rubbish about one blowing up cars engines and one being safe as houses is just that. rubbish. turbo's also blow up engines, yet you dont see people going... dont use a turbo, cos i heard it will kill your engine. its how the turbo is used. same as reflashing. if you trust the tuner who put together the verso tune, use that. i personally prefer the engineered software so that is what i'll use. happy tuning

great thoughts trusti,

i think you've nailed it! speaking generally tho no one including asg are forthcoming with how they developed the software or where it came from... i think this has added to the fire and problems.... when ecutek dealers say that verso is an older ecutek i think probably it is the truth (to a certain extent) albeit a great marketing slogan... and abused by the staff to change peoples minds about verso....

i personally think (as to what you've eluded to above" the software developers of ecutek "enginuity?" offered out to various other companys their "lite"/or early software, so where in melb they have steve coats doing avo specific flashes we have over here verso .... maybe along the right path ye???
