The Ohlins seem to have lovely billet aluminium brackets.. as expected for a top end coilover!
Anything thats out of Asia (Japan included) has steel threaded tube with plates welded on. BUT, the catch is.. it depends what model. Bit of searching around got me this.. a guy trying to fit 05+ STi spec Ohlins to his WRX, and they didn't fit of course.. plus they are welded. |

Heres a pic of my ohlins.. I was thinking cut off the bracket or even weld up the holes and re-drill the holes to suit??

Ahhh you have the welded ones
You could drill holes to suit, but I dunno about cutting and welding. You'd have to disassemble that strut as its pressurised (heat = boom), then reassemble preferrably with new seals, etc, so it wouldn't be a cheap exercise. |

will only need a 10mm slot to fit the bolts in, your problem is going to be the the bit on the hub is thicker and the 'ears' of coilover won't slot onto it properly, could machine the hub down a bit to fit i guess

Flog off your current ones T and get ones to suit 114.3, I only
say that as it would be a shame to start chopping or drilling the current ones.

Yup i think the best and easiest thing would be to machine the knuckle, i think its only 5mm or so but this will be the cheapest way to do it..

Nope dont have the funds to do that atm... Plus i would cop a huge loss on these coilovers and would need to buy something similar and big cost also..
