Added the extra earth today.
Problem remains. Also sprayed the AFM connector with some contact cleaner, which made the car become difficult to start, idle missfire continues, stalls sometimes. Drove alright this afternoon. Not left with many more options, gonna do the coil packs, anyone know how much 4 coilpacks are?

Just out of curiosity have you tried checking the fuel pressure when the problem occurs?
Intermittent cutting out can only be a matter of a couple of things, go back to basics. An engine requires air, fuel and ignition to create power. You have all but eliminated ignition, ignition will missfire or die completely... of which you do not have! Air problems will be caused by busted pistons or burnt valves, not yet... or AFM problems which may be likely, currently testing... or leaks in the intake which would be constant...so it's not that! Fuel problems have not even been checked or acknowledged as of yet, perhaps worth a shot. All workshops carry fuel pressure gauges for diagnosis and testing, maybe someone on the forum can lend you theirs even! All the best. |

How's the AFM percentage or voltage look when the idle stumbles?

The Voltate kinda moves up and down all the time, even when driving normally. Sits between 13v and 14v. Sometimes it stays solid ..
The ECU tool i have doesn't read AFM Voltage, only yours does which i why i wanted to use that to see for sure if it was coming from the AFM. If it's still not right come Tuesday i am gonna have to get it into another workshop. This is the earth i did:

Get it into a workshop that can spend time and accurately diagnose the problem. I doubt all this piss farting around will solve anything.

Yes i have tried someone else's AFM ages ago .. Problem remains.
As above, going back to workshop on Tuesday - It has already been in once, and they couldn't find a problem Kato.

Rich put your stock intake back on.
I like the call about fuel though. Might be the pump. Or replac your fuel filter.

Yeah might have to.
Thanks for all the help anyways - I think it's best now to stop all the speculation and leave it at a workshop for them to figure out. RMS is around the corner for me.

Have you checked the resistance on all your ignition leads? Make sure they are all reading the same ( easily done with a multimeter ). If one is slightly high it could be breaking down under load, ie, with the aircon on or under throttle.
