I personally never had any problems over summer last year, though i do remember a couple of threads about fuel pump not priming in the heat due to Brant. Have a quick search on here for some sort of fuel pump situation.

I had no issues with fuel pumps priming and such, just had the car cutting out while driving - like the brant was kicking in and cutting ignition or fuel .. not sure what it does when it's active?

Does anyone actually know how it works when anti-hijack comes into effect? What part of the car does it actually cut to stop the drive?

Last night was about to go to sleep, all of a sudden, the caralarm went off.
Rushed ( American History X Style) outside, searched the area around the house, nothing.

while checking the car for traces of a break in, all of a sudden the alarm went off again, car was locked and has not been opened since the first alarm, only switched alarm off and back on.

The car had been standing in the hot sun all day, but it's the first time ever this happened.

Still strange though.
Sent an email to the people of Brant, see what they might say.

In a Subaru you can cover a great distance in a short period of time or a short distance great period of time.
The journey is more important than the destination.

i strongly urge you to NOT get involved with Brant...my personal experience was i was almost taken for a ride by them, they will try and cash in on the fact their alarm system is sub par and that Subaru will take no responsibility.
If you are having issues that you are sure are related to your Brant save the headaches and have it removed & replaced.

Absolutely no issues in the heat with two brant systems over the years.
The factory key in the cold has been very problematic though over the last to winters. Anyone else need to warm up the key to get it to let you into the car?

I remember when it was 45 and I left my car in the direct sunlight for 9hrs straight and the outside temp reading advised it was 52.

First thing I did was start the car and crank the AC full bore and drove it 30km home with no problems.
