What is your beast like for lag though?

I know it wouldn't be a prob in Targa West, but over east where you are into a tight corner every 50m it might be a bitch for you Tino!

But i know you can run under what i think they call the tour, there is a supercharged 350Z in it so can't see why you wouldn't be allowed!

I would be speaking to someone officially.

Seriously, whats the point of having to sit on 120kmh in your car? Chugging along in 3rd for half a week doesnt sound like fun

Atm it makes 1.8bar at 43-4500 rpm i think so not that bad, but im actually getting a smaller turbo so hoping to shift that down to 3-3500rpm on E85 so should make the car very responsive compared to other cars..

Yeh thats why id be hoping if i put a half cage in i could increase the speed. This is the plan as a full cage is just not what i want for this car..

but if and when i decide to go down this path i will investigate first with all the official people, to make sure i dont fk it up...

I think with your car T you would have to be "invited" to enter, ie Chris Caruso in his Chev powered XJ-C - modifications are a touch too far for our delicate showroom tarmac cousins to accept as a level playing field (just checking stage times to see how close the 130kph speed limited R35s came to setting fastest...against 200kph kimited cars...)

^^^ Chris' Jag has a Holden engine, but yeah you need to be invited. It has taken years of work by Chris to be allowed to compete even though he is still ineligible. You need to show that you and the car are not a lethal combination. A good first step would be to front up at a one of the rallysprints that are run by the same people. There are less stringent rules there and you can show them your style......lol. Then do Targa South West perhaps. Your car could compete if you had say Petter Solberg driving it because they would be satisfied that he could handle it and it would be a drawcard for spectators. You probaly just need a few runs on the board then approach the organisers and go from there Tino.

Thats the plan dougie, just do some of those twiglight and supersprint events then see what pans out of it..

As i said i dont mind if i am ineligible for points as long as i am able to compete with a half cage or similar..I would also think having my car stickered up WRC styles might help in the drawcard department.. haha

p.s peter solberg aint got shit on me.... lols.

Tino, in TW without a full CAMS cage you are limited to 120kph. Half cage will get you nowhere.
