I was just about to say that. Never make a track car out of your street car. You really need two cars. I loved my GX to bits but was always really cautious at taking it out. Even though everything was technically legal, you are a yellow sticker waiting to happen with monkey bars in the back seat. The GX is probably getting retired now and getting a full weld in cage. Anything else is doing it by halves.

I've contemplated this.
Although the initial outlay of $20k ish for a track ready, not A-reg car is probably affordable, I'd also want to put my 207, cossie cams, headers, TD06, AP's etc into the track car... As well as having these goodies in my street/show car. This is where is becomes too expensive. In Tino's case, this includes low mount lag free turbo and massive list of other goodies... I entirely understand where he's coming from in his attempt to have the one car that is "ready" for anything.
