Default Need a cel scanner.

Hey guys/girls. My car has thrown a CEL and i need to borrow a scanner to check whats going wrong with it? I have a pretty good idea what it is, but need to confirm it.

Ir does anyone know of any software on the net that i can use. I have a vagcom cable that i can plug into the car and computer but have not been able to find any software to read the cel with.

hey tony, when i first got my 06 it just had an exhaust and tune.. it threw a few of these up at me when i first got it, always under boost. 60,000 since the retune and it has never done it once. i always stress about damaging it but its been great mechanically really, just a bit of extra service here n there.

Yeh i had the car re-tune on advice from stech. Lucky i did because Sean saud it was a fair bit out so could have caused me problems if i had left it.

Hang on, I thought people on here have said numerous times that tunes don't just go out of wack? Unless something was added on the car without a tune... which I guess you would never know about.

I suspect the air intake was added in after the tune.
