Had a play around on a skidpan at AHG in the wet today, first real time driving the car aggressively. Really getting to love the dog box, even though i ended up breaking it a bit later by jamming it in first gear. oopsie! she loved it for about an hour non stop then i shifted into first hard (instead of third, *smacks head*) and there it stays.

bit of bad luck but those mis-shifts in a dog-box don't forgive.

as joe pointed out, due to the mis-selection you went across two shift rails and what happens the standard interlock mashes everything together but because it doesn't have the give (play) of the syncros's once the dog ring lock's onto the gear its game over resulting in either the shirt rail snapping (seems to be the most likely thing as its still stuck in gear) or the shirt fork has broken a tab, either way its a box out and total strip and rebuild. good chance to inspect everything else aswell.
