nah different article. they put the call out for project cars a few weeks back and i wrote a really brief email with a couple of quick snaps and a note along the lines of "i'm away for work at the moment but can get some better pics and stroy to you when i'm back". Never heard a squeak out of them until kym mentioned it, turns out they just reworded my email

Yeah. Kinda wasn't expecting him to post that bit. It adds up pretty quickly though and that does include the purchase cost of the GX

93GX - $4.2k
half cut - $5k
dog box and clutch - $5.5k
motec with all its bits is up to ~$3.8k
whole brake system is up to ~$5k but i've included replacement discs/pads etc
DMS's - $2.2k
wheels - $1.6k
bucket seats $1.6k
my98wrx wreck for parts $1k

theres nearly $30

not to mention in the last few months i've bought the VF48, headers, ceramic coating, cosworth cams and tmic. I've also got the full my00 facelift in genuine subaru parts still sitting in the shed.

it certainly adds up very quickly. I have a spreadsheet of every cost incurred... and the little ones stack up real fast.

only just cheaper than a new my09 but certainly a touch quicker
