Oh ok. Thanks for that. So smoother the finish inside a pipe the better? Cool.

Ross's table I'm afraid, I can't claim to those being mine. But the long fingernails definately are

You want the wall to be smooth (i.e. reduce the roughness ratio). Helps with boundary layer flows and all that jazz etc

Big thanks to Sean at AllStar for squeezing my car in today for a choonz.

from 210/300 to 270hp, 350nm of torque at the hubs on the ASG Dynapack.

Below plots are before in thin (TD04, stock headers, 04sti tmic) and after in thick (VF48, Tomei/kando headers, 08sti tmic)

HP (blue) vs Torque (green)

HP (blue) vs Boost (green)

This was made at 1.4bar of boost (about 20psi) with the stock intake pipe + pod, no tmic spray, and a crushed 3" exhaust i got cheap which is probably around 2.5" diamater now due to all the dents. Its also still running the Twin AVCS cams which Sean managed to dial in a little better after some dyno time.

Huge difference in power delivery, from the dyno sheed the TD04 is nearly falling over before the VF has reached full power, but on the road from about 3500rpm all hell breaks loose. To finish it off i'll get a full size 3" exhaust, intake and install my Cosworth cams, and I think that should do nicely.

here is how the current setup looks

Very nice Matt! All in a 1000kg package. Should definately do one now... in second.
Dont know what you were worried about, the cooler's so big, you cant even see your bling'd up heat shield.

looking good Matthew, as you said it is a late hitter though..... I wonder if the p15 will cripple the top end?

I need to have mine run up again and see what it's doing now with more boost and better breathing / cooling.

Your short gearing, lack of weight and 271 hp / 351 nm should have it moving along nicely.

Congrats buddy!
