It's a lot, but I guess to have a nice car you have to pay the price

Not to mention its only $400 more then my 2004 WRX, and the MPS is about double the value...
That's bloody cheap for your age and the car!!!!

Although the $1,200 excess is killer.

Yeah, the excess is a bitch, but as you say for a 19y/o its pretty good.

I know, but as I say the extra money over my 2004 WRX I get a whole lot more coverage and new car replacement for 3 years!

has anyone here had a quote or heard about Enthusiast Motor Insurance? underwritten by Assetinsure Pty Ltd.

ive had a quote from them which looks pretty good (which includes all mods), they have a choice of repairer and also have WA number to call.

they do want VIN number and engine number before they will insure though, i didnt know if that is normal???

if anyone has any info that would be great. Thanks

Yes they are very reputable. Will only insure cars 5+ years old that fit their specialist appetite. Asking for the VIN and Engine number is normal for an insurer like this.

Don't get too excited, the premium for the MY12 will go up each year by 20-30%. You would think they'd go down as the car gets older and you get older, but no...
